This book was really good. I was instantly connected to our main character Mallory *Mouse* I found her to be relate-able as someone who has been through a lot of what she has. I had several times i had to put the book down, all because it felt so real. Jennifer wrote the pain so well. 

Rider was almost an instant book boyfriend for me. His connection with Mallory is strong, and apparent from the start. He was there for her through so much and now hes here for her when she just needs a guy. 

Their relationship sparks quickly and its fast and beautiful, but like all good romance books they have their problems. Ex girlfriends, parental units, and friends. All of which make for this book to be amazing. 

I loved the dynamic of  Mallory and Rider. I loved seeing them both grow as characters in this book. And all the side characters played important rolls in the book. I wish there were more books about those characters.

Everyone needs to read this book. I'm serious I think every person out there needs to take this book and hide away and read it until they're done. I finished this book in a mater of hours and it still impacts me to this day. 

This book is highly controversial and a lot of people hate it. I for one loved it. As someone who has struggled with suicidal thoughts and depression as well as bullying I get where the character was coming from. 

Hannah made a series of tapes for 13 people explain why and how each of them played a role in her decision to kill her self. We read about Clay who in the end was someone she truly cared about and felt cared about her. She sent him the tapes so he wouldn't feel like he played a role in all of it. 

Hannah gives him a map and a list of places to go if he chooses too, each place means something different to her. 

I read a lot of comments about this book that says "It glorifies suicide." I didn't feel that in fact I felt like it gave a good incite into the brain of a suicidal person. Another comment said "Suicide is because you have something wrong in your brain. Not because you have 13 reasons." This comment kinda annoyed me because its not something wrong always,  a lot of times like in Hannah's case life sucks

She was bullied and didn't see any other way out. So she took the only way she knew. If people had paid more attention to her maybe she wouldn't have done it.

Everything you say and do affects the people around you. I feel like every teenager needs to read this. Most don't see how their words and actions hurt others. They say something out loud and it gets back to that person it affects them their whole lives. You call a girl fat she will be sitting here blogging as an adult and still think  she is all because you said it out loud once. 

You mess with peoples minds and emotions it doesn't affect you but it affects them. 

Clay hurt so bad for Hannah he had a crush on her, and he felt like if he had just asked her out maybe she would still be here.  I can't say if it would have changed anything, but it may have. Maybe she would have felt the love she desperately needed.

Through all of Hannah's tapes I wished I could have hugged her and told her it would be okay. *Yes I know she's fictional*

The words in this book hit hard and its what makes this book so special.  I know a lot of the comments don't like this book and that is their choice. But I feel as someone who has been through what Hannah went through I will never forget this book and how much it hit close to home. This book deals with the tough stuff people would rather pretend never happens. I wish I could put a copy of this book in every teens hands. It may change them and the way they think.

Okay let me start of by saying, if you have never read a Colleen Hoover book go get this book like right now. Then get Hopeless and Ugly Love. Trust me. 

Now if you have read Colleen you know full well this woman is a brilliant writer who loves to rip your heart out and smash it!

I will have it known I love Colleen and Regina. 

Our main character Layken or Lake and her family after the unexpected death of her father, move from sunny Texas to cold Michigan. With in moments of pulling up to her new house her little brother has a new friend. Being nine makes it easy for him. She's chasing the boys around the truck pretending to be a zombie. When she hears the boys shouts because they're trapped she rounds the corner she comes face to face with Will. Enter sparks and my heart flying out of my chest!

Sparks fly and Lake and Will are connected. They go on their first date and he takes her to a club *Club N3NE* and they are there for the Slam Poetry night. Lake falls in love with the words and the way people express themselves. She convinces Will to go up and preform. He does a poem titled "Death". His words hit me and I was tearing up as he preformed his poem. 

Death. The only thing inevitable in life.
People don't like to talk about death because it makes them sad.
They don't want to imagine how life will go on without them,
all the people they love will briefly grieve 
but continue to breathe.

He takes her home and she fights everything to not kiss him. He tries so hard to take it slow but the electricity is so strong they finally kiss at the end of the date. This isn't a soft first kiss. This is a kiss full of love and need. Full of everything they're feeling and not knowing they're feeling it. 

The next few weeks are just her and Will and pure happiness. The school comes around. Something else new and scary for Lake. She meets Eddie and the two girls are instant friends. Probably helps that Eddie doesn't really give her a choice just decides that "Hey we're gunna be friends." So school isn't off to a horrible start. She makes her way to her poetry class and runs smack into Will. She instantly thinks he's here to see his girlfriends. Poor Lake its so much more complicated than that. Not only is Will her sexy as hell across the street neighbor that shes falling for. But he's her teacher too!  

Things spiral out of control after this. Will decides that its better that they distance themselves. Of course in his terms that means cut her off completely.  Now before you go and condemn Will, know that he needs this job he is single handily raising his younger brother. 

When the class is asked to write a poem Lake takes all of her anger and writes a poem about Will. She uses just about every word for Jerk known to man in that poem. 

The hot and cold of Will continue for a while until Lake's roller coaster goes even further down hill. She thinks her mom has moved on to a new man already and when she confronts her with it, her world breaks even more. Mom isn't moving on, mom has cancer and is dying. She doesn't have much time left and she needs her kids to know. 

Lake runs to Will and he is there for her as she has her break down. Eddie is also there for her and finally gets her to talk to her mom. 

They mend as best they can and Will and his brother start to come over for the holidays and other things. Its like they're one big happy family but its still so hard. 

When the brothers decide on their Halloween costumes Lake and Will have to go get a tape measure from Will's house. There is a Laundry room scene here that I love so much! The night before Lake had been assaulted and Will saved her because he was jealous.  her heart is happy and it looks like things might be looking up for them. But when she asks Will what this means for them, he shuts the whole thing down again and it rips her apart. Ripped me apart too my heart couldn't take anymore. *Thank you Colleen, so many tissues*

Lake decides that she's done and will move on. She cuts Will  off and focuses on her Mom spending time with her. But her mom see's it and knows she needs Will as much as he needs her. Even if he won't admit it. 

“I'm serious. You've been doing so much thinking with your head that you're ignoring your heart completely. There has to be a balance. The fact that both of you are letting other things consume you is about to ruin any chance you'll ever have at being happy.”

Her mom tells her to run to him and show her love. She goes to the only place she can be sure he might be N3NE. She gets up and preforms her poem. 

“I got schooled this year
by

boy.

A boy that I'm seriously, deeply, madly, incredibly, and undeniably inlove with.
And he taught me the most important thing of all...

To put the emphasis
On life .” 

I was crying my eyes out by this point. She preforms this beautiful poem and waits for him. But its not like in the movies he doesn't come running up the stage to take her in his arms. She starts to leave when she hears my favorite quote. "That's not a good idea." 

Will is standing on the stage. He was a judge that night and now hes going to preform his poem. 

Life knows.

After both poems they share an epicly magical kiss. The world is right if only for a short time. In the epilogue  they share their first Christmas together since Lakes mom died. She left them one last present and a letter. My heart broke into pieces as I read the letter. 

Don't take life too seriously. Punch it in the face when it needs a good hit. Laugh at it.

This book was perfect it is hands down my favorite read this year. I spent so much of my time crying while I read this book. My heart strings were tugged on and I loved it. I fell in love with Will the moment he opened his mouth.  He is easily in my top 5 book boyfriends now. I had taken way to long to get to this Colleen book but I am so glad I finally read it. Colleen is an amazing Author and she knows how to take her readers on an emotional ride. Slammed will go down as a favorite book that I will reread many times over many years. Will is a boy that I will love forever and always remember.  If you have read this book but none of Colleen's others you have to check out Hopeless and Ugly Love. Both of these tore me apart in a wonderful way. Colleen is an Author that I think everyone should enjoy at least once.

Okay let me just start off by say this book was an unexpected gem. I've always been a fan of all things Peter Pan. But I had never really read anything steam punk, so I was a little worried going in. But  I was instantly in love with this book. Our main character Gwen is trying to survive in a destroyed London. She is in charge of her two siblings and keeping them alive. After the death of her parents.
The majority of humans have been wiped out by an air born disease. (Hello our worlds biggest fear)
The children for the most part are slow at reacting to the disease. But only one child out there is immune. *Or so the stories say*
I will admit that it took me a few chapters before it hit me that Joanna and Mikey were John and Michael.  *Okay I may have been so into it that I forgot it was Peter Pan and not its own setting.*
   When her sister Joanna is taken by Hook himself.  Hook's name is so bloody long that I know why the kids call him Hook. *But the name made me smile*
Hook unlike in other stories is almost the same age as Gwen, who is a teenager in this series.  While she is out the night that Joanna is taken she sees a boy on the roof across the street, and he crows. (Yes I fangirled here) He follows her back to her home thanks to her not really covering her tracks. She reluctantly agrees to go with Pete and Bella. *Peter Pan, and TinkerBell* They offer to help her save her sister. So they take her to Everland, which isn't another world but the deep underground of London. Its a whole other working city, run by who else but the lost boys!
Gwen find out that Bella has the disease and it is rapidly spreading, suddenly saving her sister isn't only about that. Its about saving all of them. We meet Doc who has his own issues but there are instantly sparks between him and Gwen. Of course this angers Pete.
When they leave Everland in hunt of Joanna and Bella who has also left they meet another girl *Tiger Lilly* and she shows them into the back doors of the castle that Hook has taken over. She tells them all about the Doctor there who has been saving children and helping them escape London.
When they find Joanna she is cared for, Bella is still sick because the mysterious Doctor hasn't gotten to her. Doc injects her with Gwen's blood and she starts healing fast.
When the Doctor comes into the room finally it is a shock to everyone, but mostly Gwen that its her mother. They band together to escape London but of course problems arise. Gwen decides to offer herself to Hook, since she's the cure and Pete can't let that happen so he goes after her.
In an epic stand off they fight and Gwen cuts off Hooks hand. *This was a beautiful shock!*
The book ends on a good note, not a cliff hanger but you know there is more to come.
I loved Pete from the moment I met him. And I had one Pan in my mind as a I read. This beautiful face.

This book was unique in that it was written from both Gwen and Hooks POV's . I loved being inside of Hooks twisted mind.  I enjoyed this fun take on Peter Pan. It made the world so unique that it was its own book. I have seen a lot of people complain that it didn't stick "true" to the original story and I have to say I love that she didn't. Wendy took a loved story and made it her own and I love it. I am waiting anxiously for book 2 and can not wait to dive back into this world. It was perfect and magical.

Alright let me start out by I know all of the mixed reviews that surround this book. And I'm just going to say you really need to go into this book with an open mind. Some people are so angry that Jo didn't write this book. But I knew that going in so I didn't have a problem.

With in the first page and a half of this book, I was sobbing. The fangirl was real with this one.  There were lines being used from the original series and movies and I was in heaven. When we see Harry and the others its in the moments after we ended the Deathly Hallows. It fit in perfectly. We follow Harry's son Albus and Draco's son Scorpius. And they're a pair alright. Albus reminds me greatly of Draco and Scorpius of Harry. It was comical to see this. When a time turner comes back into the world and talks of saving Cederic come up a whole mess of excitement happens. I'm just going to point out that I knew there still have to be time turners out there!
"Bad things happen to wizards who mess with time Harry." Who knew how important this line would be because my word do bad things happen when you mess with time.
A world with mean Hermionie and fat Ron. A world where they're fugitives. And my favorite a world where Harry died and we hear "For Voldemort and Valor."
The world gets turned upside down and we find out that the rumors about Voldemort having a child are true! *Shock* right I know crazy!

The book is written in play style because it is just that. A play! And I didn't find it hard to read at all. I was unable to put it down and I read it so fast that I'm sad I finished because its over again. (Though we are getting some new book from Pottermore YAY!)
This in my opinion is the 8th book, it was the perfect way to make the story just a bit more. We got Harry again no reason to complain at all.
I plan to read this one again very soon. I'm currently on Chamber of Secrets on my reread so I will be to Cursed Child again soon.
I highly recommend this book if you're a fan of Harry Potter.  Don't judge it on the bad review by people who didn't pay attention to all the news about the book.

So this book was my first Tillie Colle book. I was lucky enough to meet her in April at a book signing and picked this particular book up! My sister told me I had to read it and boy was she right! 

I don't usually read MC books *Though I have no idea why not.....*  I instantly fell in love with the sexy Hangman Styx. He is everything you want in a book boyfriend and more. 

The start of this book is a flash back to when Styx and Mae are children  its an instant connection between them. Fast forward and poor Mae is attempting to leave her "commune" lets just say its purely a cult and nothing else.  After escaping she finds herself in the den of none other than the Hangmen. She is found by The Hangman Mute (styx)  When she wakes up he is so happy to see the Girl with the wolf eyes. He has been thinking about her for the last 15 years. *Feel free to swoon here* 

“Mae was mine. Fifteen long years of wanting her to be mine, and here she sat, curled up in my arms – a fuckin’ angel in hell.” 

He is happy to have her there, but she's terrified because the simple cult life is all she's used too. She sees everything the Hangmen  are doing as a sin. *Which just leads them to be more sexy.* She finds a fast friend in one of the other Hangmen Rider. *I make no comments other than hes hot and be ready for the "Ride" of your life with Rider.* 

“Styx was sin; Rider was peace.” 

As the book goes on Mae realizes that her love for Styxs is stronger than all the brainwashing the Cult did to her. “Because if Styx was damned to hell, so was I. I would follow him into the fire.” 

  And when she gets taken from Styx's he will do whatever it takes to get her back to him. 

This book was full of amazing romance and sexy men. I fell in love with several of the characters and was so happy to find out the had books in this series as well.  Seriously if you are in need of a new book boyfriend who will blow all of the other ones out of the water go get this book!

I have already finished the second book in this series and I'm onto the third. I am beyond in love with this series. I love these Hangmen I wish I could be with all of them ;)

Scarlet book review

So after I read Cinder, I was a tad leery of this book because I found Cinder a tad slow. I was worried that I would have issues with the rest of the series. Boy was I proven wrong! I've never been so glad to be wrong about a book before. Scarlet is high up on my favorite books list. And it is my top book of 2016 so far. 

Scarlet our main character is the personification  of Red Riding Hood. And this is one of my favorite versions of this story. Scarlet is a total bad ass and when her Grandma goes missing she's on the case!  When she meets Wolf. She's leery of him and for good reasons. But when he offers to help her find her Grandma how can she say no?

Wolf is mysterious strong and oh so yummy. He is high up on my list for favorite book boyfriend. He does everything he can to help and protect Scarlet. Of course he has a deep secret. And I for one can say I never saw it coming.  Finding out he was in fact a part of the Lunar Army had me staring at the page for several long moments. I was so afraid of what was going to happen between him and Scarlet. 

I never thought of Red being a BA character, but she pulled it off. Her skills with electronics and just surviving in general amaze me. 

When she learns secrets that could change all of Lunar she has to hope she can keep those secrets safe.  When she finds out that her Grandmother not only helped save Cinder the princess of Lunar. But she hid her for a long while until they could place her somewhere safe. Her Grandma was one of my favorite characters and I will miss her.

Marissa Meyer knows how to write twists and turns. She knows how to grab her reader and shout "Come on an adventure with me!"

I love her writing and I am so excited to read the rest of this series. It has hit a home in my heart and its a world I will revisit. I am so excited for Marissa's other books coming out soon. 

All in all this book is so worth the read. I highly recommend it.

I really wish I could have given this book more stars, but I had a hard time getting into it. It took me a few tries to finish it. I don't normally read SiFi but since Cinder I wanted to try more. And this book had an amazing premise but I just didn't feel it. 

Our two main characters Violina and Lux are basically bounty hunters. We start off with them breaking into a museum type place stealing a creature. They had gotten jipped in their payment. So they were just getting their reward. I loved this scene. It was a fun adventure to go on. 

I loved that it included time travel which reminded me a lot of Doctor Who. Which is one of my favorite shows. 
The fact that a husband and wife duo wrote this book made me love it. 

I did enjoy this book, and I hope to re read it again. And maybe then I will be deeper into the SiFi world and will appreciate this book as it should be.

This book was a fun ride. I started it and I was instantly hooked on the characters. Ily soon became one of my favorite female characters. She is spunky and fun. She's been hurt in the past, we are left with a mystery but I enjoyed that. Then we meet Braydon. And hello yummy book boyfriend! He too has been hurt and his walls are up. needless to say I wanted to bring down his walls. 

Ily is looking for a job after her big move with her best friend. And who happens to have a job for her? Braydon of course. They both social media stalk each other and are instantly hooked on each other. The heat and sparks start to fly. 

Braydon tries to fight it, he doesn't want to get hurt again and he is afraid of making things awkward.

That doesn't sit well with Ily. She decides that if he wants to play games so will she. And so comes the game of who will cave to the sexual tension first. 

Dressing up and flirting made it so much fun. 

When they finally cave, they go at it hot and heavy quickly. And I loved it! It was just the right amount of dirty to keep me entertained. 

The romance in this book made me so giddy. I loved how the characters meshed. 

The book its self was a quick paced book, a summer read. This is a book to grab over the weekend and stay hidden until you have taken in every dirty moment.

Tiffany is an amazing writer and an Indie one that should be followed.

So I didn't love this book but I didn't hate it either. This is the first real SiFi book I've read. It was an interesting twist on Cinderella.  Our main character Cinder is a cyborg and she of course has the evil step mother and step sisters. She got  lucky and has one nice step sister. Sadly that doesn't last long. 

The main love interest is of course the Prince. His name is Kai. I absolutely adored him! I wish there had been more on the romance side of these characters. But I feel like it may pick up the rest of the series. 

I found this book to have a really slow start. It took me forever to get into it. Around the middle of the book it actually started to pick up which I'm glad it did. There were a lot of similarities to the original story. There were a few moments I kept waiting to happen that didn't but that's okay. There were a few twists and I managed to guess the big one. But I am glad I did because it made the ending better. I really like how this book turned out. I did find that it ended on a major cliffhanger. When I got to the end I was ready to jump right into Scarlet. 

I am really excited to read the rest of this series and see the other twist and turns this book will take.
