This is my review of my re-read of Harry.
Description:
Harry Potter thinks he is an ordinary boy. He lives with his Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and cousin Dudley, who are mean to him and make him sleep in a cupboard under the stairs. (Dudley, however, has two bedrooms, one to sleep in and one for all his toys and games.) Then Harry starts receiving mysterious letters and his life is changed forever. He is whisked away by a beetle-eyed giant of a man and enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The reason: Harry Potter is a wizard! The first book in the "Harry Potter" series makes the perfect introduction to the world of Hogwarts.
What can I say about Harry Potter besides that it is the greatest piece of literature for this generation.
The Sorcerer's Stone is where we first meet Harry, Ron, and Hermionie a friendship everyone wants. And that no one will ever forget.
Harry has been a staple in my life for about eight years now. I try and re-read it at least once a year and with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child coming out on July 31st I knew I had to read it again. Harry is an awkward boy who is stuck living with his awful family. Its one of those situations I know a lot of people can relate too.II love that you can see the differences between the book and the movie and its always made me smile. I've always connected to Harry as the black sheep of my own family, I've always wondered what it would be like to be told I'm a wizard. I would love nothing more than to go to Hogwarts. Harry has a special place for everyone who reads it. It is a magical book that will always be here for us. If you somehow haven't read this series yet. Please do. You won't regret it at all.
Remember Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.
